Warhammer Historical Weekend
Tequila Sunrise
A Legends of the Old West campaign organised by Ray Earle

The war ended over five years ago, at least for some. The border between Texas and Mexico has been a hotbed of activity in the mean time with all kind of people coming ‘down south’ to take advantage of the new opportunities made available by the Army’s presence keeping the locals in check.

However, despite constant cavalry patrols, bands of Confederate guerrillas still operate in the mountains, fighting out their own personal war against the Union aggressors. Mexican Bandits operate on both sides of the border, raiding and pillaging, some even lowering themselves to trade and fight alongside the natives. While the Apache and Comanche continue their struggle to maintain their old ways of life. Horse thieves are prevalent as are the Lawmen and Rangers who hunt them down for reward. Even with this lawlessness life goes on in the townships and cities as cowboys bring their cattle along the trails taking advantage of the profits to be had in the North.

Still, even in this time of uneasy stability, rumours have been whispered in the saloons and dance halls concerning a shipment of lost Confederate gold bullion somewhere on the border. Enough gold to make a man rich beyond his wildest dreams! But surely it’s only a rumour, and everyone knows there’s nothing in old rumours. Or is there….

Come and join in this LOTOW campaign with a slightly Mexican flavour. To do so you will need to bring a posse chosen from any of the lists in the main LOTOW rulebook or any of its supplements up to the value of $200 (no hired guns allowed). Make sure you bring enough figures for your posse to expand over the weekend and any hired gun figures that you wish to use. The campaign will include both single and multi-player games.

If you have any terrain that you wish to bring along please check with the campaign organiser first, but all help with buildings and such like will be gratefully accepted.

(Tequila will not be provided but can of course, be purchased from Bugmans)

Maiden Voyage
A Legends of the High Seas campaign by Matt Anderson and Tim Eagling

Captains Black Matt and Stinking Timmy will be running a two day Legends of the High Seas campaign for 12 lucky swabs. There are two sides, Pirates and Privateers and there will be a fair mix of sea bound action, fighting on desert islands, raiding and special scenarios.

Players need to bring a standard Pirate or Privateer Crew (according to the starting crew rules in the LotHS book), Crew roster, small ship, cannons and any other models, upgrades, ships or boats which they intend to purchase / press gang or steal through the weekend!

All models must be based and painted and dressing up is positively encouraged. There will be awards and bonuses for hats!

Macedonian and Punic Wars
A campaign by Tim Haslam

Although this is a 'doubles' campaign there is the opportunity for single players to field large armies in a mid to conquer the Mediterranean in a mix of scenarios and straight up toe to toe classical battles.

Armies can be drawn from Alexander, Hannibal and Spartacus plus the old Successors list in Armies of Antiquity (although provide details to Tim in advance please)

Army Size
2000pts per person or if you want to go “Epic” you can field a single 4000pt army.
Single 4K players will have some disadvantages built in to the system so be prepared.
Games will use Hidden Deployment on 8X6 tables, two games each day, all three hours long.
In the Classical world, it was as much about diplomacy as it was about Generalmanship.
If playing as a doubles team, you will be allocated a random partner for each round over the weekend.
All players will score individual points in each round, regardless of partner.
This should hopefully encourage some competition between allied commanders.
This way no 'perfect' army combo's will be achieved unless by luck and the glory will truly fall to the one who really deserves to be called “Caesar” (and yes, you will be able to wear the T shirt!).

Beyond the Golden Gate
A campaign by Chris Stone

A campaign weekend with a simple theme of enjoyment for all. Bring your Army to win the glories of a Broken Empire. Players will need to bring a 2250 point army from the BTGG supplement.

This can include the Western Enemies and Allies at Appendix 1 (but no Lance armed troops from this appendix please).

It is intended to run five games over the course of the weekend in Mini Campaign format with a number of scenarios from the main rule book and a chance of Random events before the start of each battle.

The Road to Ucles
An El Cid based Campaign by Guy Bowers

The year is 1108. King Alfonso VI of Leon and Castile is dying. Civil war has erupted as contenders vie for the crown or to gain their independence. Meanwhile the successors of Ben Yusef seize their chance to undo the Reconquista and the work of 'The Cid'. Your armies will decide the fate of Spain. Will the Taifas retain their independence? Will Christian or Moslem flags fly victorious over the field of battle at Ucles?

Players will need a 2000 point Age of El Cid army with a 1000 and 500 point dismounted force if they wish to participate in the optional raid and siege scenarios. The Reconquista list is not being used.

Dismounted models may be available for those without suitable models.

Contact Gecoren@yahoo.com for more details.

Invasion!
This is a generic Warhammer Ancients campaign open to any army and is organized by James Sharpe

You need to bring army rosters for your chosen force of 2000, 1500 and 1000 points. Players will be divided into two or more teams and will fight a range of Attack and Defend scenarios to represent an invading force, the defenders and the resulting counter attacks. Games will be a mix of single and double match ups. Be prepared for some tactical challenges!

Players may bring in additional units for their army which, may, or may not get used during the weekend, depending on how you games progress.

These extra units should not exceed 400 points for formed units, and light and skirmish units should not exceed 200 points. No extra characters. The additional units should still fall within your army list composition percentages, and the total army should not exceed 3000 points.

You don’t need to bring the full amount of extra units, but if you can bring at least one unit of light troops, it might benefit you!

“Lord of all you survey”.
A Warmaster Ancients campaign by Dane Stephens

Once again Dane kindly is organising a Warmaster Ancients campaign and you will need a 1000 point Army drawn from the Warmaster Rule Book or from Warmaster Ancient Armies.

Upgrades are allowed for the General.

We will be using the Campaign system from the back of Warmaster Ancient Armies book with 3 Starting Territories each so extra units for your army will be necessary with unit bonuses being awarded for winning your game.

In the event of a draw both sides will get a unit bonus.

Extra unit bonuses will be awarded for breaking your opponent. Unit bonuses will stay with the unit until such time as that unit is completely destroyed. The winner will also roll for an extra territory then choose between that one and one of the three territories used by their opponent in that battle.

The winner of the Campaign will be the person with the highest territory count at the end of the fifth game.

Gouzeaucourt, a small village in a Great War
A Great War campaign by Alex Buchel

There is no need to bring any models to take part in this campaign as it is an opportunity to try out our new rules system. The events are set in Gouzeaucourt between April 1917 and April 1918. Places are strictly limited so if you want to take part, you best make contact with us first. Games will be running all weekend, so even if you don’t take part, you can stop by and take a look.
